St. Lucia’s “Dancing On Glass”: Listen To His First New Single In Two Years

Despite putting out some killer remixes of tunes like Lady Gaga‘s “G.U.Y.” and Marina And The Diamonds‘ “Froot” in the past, we haven’t heard new solo music from St. Lucia in two years. Well that has changed today (October 22), as the artist released his new single — “Dancing On Glass.”

St. Lucia is not letting the pending cold front get to him, as the shimmering uptempo is filled with summery vibes. Co-produced along with Chris Zane (Passion Pit, The Walkmen, Holy Ghost), “Dancing On Glass” features an euphoric chorus and synth-heavy melodies that will have you, well, dancing!

Read how the singer explains the tune:

“‘Dancing On Glass’” is about that inescapable pull within each human being towards things that are dangerous or ‘bad for us’. The song is more about how delicious that moment can be and less about finger wagging and saying it’s wrong. I was really inspired by Hall & Oates & Crowded House when writing this song with Tim Pagnotta, and how their songs can so often seem happy and positive on the surface but there’s always this undercurrent of something else.”

There is no word yet on when the follow-up to 2013’s When The Night will arrive, but in the meantime give “Dancing On Glass” multiple spins way into the weekend below!
