Rihanna Drops Out Of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Ellie Goulding Slides In
Rihanna was set to headline the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which suggested the world would finally get to hear some new ANTI material when the performance airs on December 8 (or when leaked video from the show’s taping next week inevitably hit Twitter). But now RiRi has dropped out of the primetime gig, with Ellie Goulding stepping in as her replacement alongside previously announced performers The Weeknd and Selena Gomez.

People reports that a source says Rihanna canceled so that she could use the time to finish work on her album. Hmm, where have I heard that before? Oh right, from the dude who’s executive producing her album: Back in April 2014, Kanye West postponed tour dates in Australia so that he could finish his Yeezus follow-up, which was scheduled for a 2014 release (lol) at the time. Let’s hope ANTI is on a slightly more condensed timeline now that the album art has been unveiled.
