Cardiknox delivered the best lyric video of 2013 when they brought questionable ’80s movie posters to life in “Technicolor Dreaming.” History repeats today (November 3) with the electro-pop duo unveiling another innovative visual inspired by that decade that taste (did not) forget. “On My Way” is comprised of footage from ’80s runway shows and it’s a riot of big hair, bigger shoulder pads and unfathomable glamor.

Why the fashion flashback? “There’s something incredibly empowering about watching people strut down a fashion runway,” frontwoman Lonnie Angle told Vogue. “There’s determination in their stride — they look and feel fabulous. They’re modeling art.” The footage is also a perfect fit for the song. “That feeling of the runway marries so well to the lyrical themes of ‘On My Way’ — self-awareness, strength and determination.”

“On My Way” features on Cardiknox’s debut LP, which is due early next year. Watch the duo’s stylish lyric video below.
