Rita Ora Returns To Her Drum And Bass Roots On Sigma’s “Coming Home”: Watch The Video
Rita Ora broke big in 2012 as the voice of DJ Fresh’s UK chart-topping drum and bass anthem “Hot Right Now.” The 24-year-old returns to the genre today (November 5) with a killer feature on Sigma’s new floorfiller “Coming Home.” She sounds brilliant over the furious production and really seems to connect with the reflective lyrics (“this life ain’t leading nowhere I can go”). It’s a reminder that she could be a great pop star if she just stopped trying so hard.
The track features on Sigma’s debut LP Life, which drops December 4. The album already boasts two UK number one hits (“Nobody To Love” and Paloma Faith-assisted banger “Changing”) and they could add to that tally with “Coming Home.” The video is a little curious in that it finds Rita riding a quad-bike around the English countryside and has some very obvious product placement, but it has a really good soundtrack.
