Get all the details on the band's seventh studio album.

All of the heavy sadness that hung over Coldplay‘s 2014 effort Ghost Stories — a breakup album of sorts, given frontman Chris Martin‘s then-recent split from Gwyneth Paltrow — has washed away for “Adventure Of A Lifetime,” the jubilant first single released off the band’s forthcoming A Head Full Of Dreams (out December 4).

Stargate and Rik Simspon handled production on this latest (and last?) era of Coldplay’s output, and “Adventure Of A Lifetime” glides along like a handclap-filled dream, with its jubilant instrumentation and just enough “woo hoos” at the end to rival Martin’s equally catchy “Woah-oh-oh-oh-ohs” in the band’s now-classic “Viva La Vida.”
