Lady Gaga's harrowing "Til It Happens To You" gets a menacing redux.

Freak out: A New York Times profile of disco legend Nile Rodgers reports that he worked with Lady Gaga on “a forthcoming album.”

Niles didn’t specify whether these new tracks are for Chic‘s awaited comeback record or LG5, though for now that’s fine. The two of them have already proven that they work well together, when designer Tom Ford hired Niles to help rework Chic’s own “I Want Your Love,” to feature Gaga herself and for his Spring/Summer 2016 runway show.

Niles met Gaga via Inez and Vinoodh, with whom Mother Monster worked extensively for her fourth album ARTPOP. The fashion photography duo had snapped Niles for the May 2015 issue of Vogue Paris.

Times also reports that Coachella booked Chic for next year’s festival — what may be the perfect opportunity to debut Nile’s collaborations with Gaga, if not songs he recorded with Keith Urban, Elton John and/or Beck.
