Conrad Sewell Interview
Conrad Sewell talks to us about his debut LP and looming hit "Start Again." Read on.

Australian singer/songwriter Conrad Sewell recently made a splash on pop radio with debut single “Hold Me Up,” but he should do even better with “Start Again.” The soaring ballad landed the 27-year-old a US record deal and topped the charts at home when it was released earlier this year. “I really can’t wait for ‘Start Again’ to come out here in America,” the rising star told Idolator. “Hopefully that’s going to explode like it did in Australia. I think it’s a career-defining song.”

Interestingly, Roc Nation tried to buy “Start Again” for Kylie Minogue’s Kiss Me Once album. “Whenever a situation like that comes up you’re always tempted, especially when you’re young and you have no money,” Conrad remembers. “I ended up keeping the song and it was a blessing in disguise.” The video arrives today and it finds the “Firestone” singer performing the song against a desolate landscape, before wandering through a ghost town. Watch up top.
