Missy Elliott Returns With “WTF (Where They From)” Video Featuring Pharrell: Watch
Missy Elliott was prepping for her grand comeback tomorrow (November 13) after previewing her new single “WTF (Where They From)” on ESPN last month. But the artist decided to bring the heat a day early!
The buzzing new visual is co-directed by herself and frequent collaborator Dave Meyers (the man behind classic clips like “Work It,” Get Ur Freak On” and “Pass That Dutch”), and is quintessential Missy! It contains futuristic elements (at one point the iconic rapper is covered in mirrors from head-to-toe), energetic dance routines that will make you want to shake it fast and nods to pop artists like Roy Lichtenstein. To top it all off, Pharrell makes an appearance as a super-cool puppet and comes in with a rapid-fire verse.
Along with recording her own music, Missy has recently been featured on The Voice as a mentor, teamed up with Ciara on “That’s How I’m Feelin’” and reunited with Janet Jackson for Unbreakable’s “BURNITUP!” Get into the wild new video up top!
