‘SNL”s “First Got Horny 2 U” Sketch Is The Perfect ’00s Boy Bands Spoof: Watch
Saturday Night Live‘s November 14 episode featured a sketch that should make every ’90s baby swoon and maybe gag a little.
The group, featuring SNL guest host Elizabeth Banks, is Infinity +5, dressed in all white as Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC did back when we referred to the year 2000 as Y2K. (Bonus points for the Chris Kirkpatrick-style braids.) The song is “First Got Horny 2 U,” which recalls this carbon copy of a carbon copy of a Boyz II Men ballad, otherwise known as “Because of You” by 98 Degrees. Yet Infinity +5’s taste in men turn out to be wider ranging than any of these lineups, with, erm, loving nods to Carson Daly, Taylor Hanson and, erm, the teenaged son from Dinosaurs.
