Coldplay premiered new songs off A Head Full of Dreams last night (November 21) during its TIDAL livestream concert.

This live debut reinforced what Coldplay has said about its seventh album already: Their new music is bright, uplifting and about bringing people together. The blissful title track feels like running in slow motion, as Chris Martin references a quote often attributed to Gandhi. “Amazing Day” could well replace Louis Armstrong‘s “A Wonderful World” as the next theme for Walt Disney World Resort. Meanwhile “Up&Up,” the song that Chris says Coldplay has been “waiting to write for 15 years,”  is a ballad that could well act as a charity single, its hook being “I know we’re going to get it, get it together / somehow.”

Watch the TIDALxCOLDPLAY concert here. (“A Head Full of Dreams” opens the concert, while “Amazing Day” gets played at 18:42 and “Up&Up” closes the set at 46:15.) See the setlist below.
