Rita Ora Talks Prince Collaboration, Explains Album Delay On ‘Alan Carr’
Rita Ora was a guest on Alan Carr’s UK talk show over the weekend and shed some light on her long-overdue album. The 24-year-old confirmed that her sophomore set will contain a duet with Prince. “He’s on the album,” she revealed. “He’s writing one with me on the new record and yeah I did some stuff with him on his album.” The “Body On Me” diva then shared a funny anecdote about the purple one’s recording process: “No word of a lie he had literally doves flying around in the studio, shitting all over the place.”
The Brit then announced that the album will arrive in January and explained the delay. “I was recording an album actually previously with someone that I loved personally and then it kind of fell through and I just didn’t want to release that music because it didn’t relate to me any more,” she said in reference to her relationship with Calvin Harris. “So it didn’t make any sense for me to pretend because that’s not nice to pretend to my fans… and then you’ve got to promote it for three years it’s like torture.” Watch the interview below.
