Erykah Badu Disses Iggy Azalea At The 2015 Soul Train Awards: Watch
Iggy Azalea has been the center of disses since her entrance into the rap and pop games, and Erykah Badu recently hopped on the trend. Last night (November 29) at the 2015 Soul Train Awards, the artist called out the Aussie rapper during her opening monologue.
The segment was based on calling various celebrities to un-invite them as she’s banning rappers from the ceremony (Erykah has a thing for communication devices — she dropped her But You Caint Use My Phone mixtape over the Thanksgiving weekend) and once she got to the “Fancy” artist she had this joking quip to say: “Uh yes? Who is this? Iggy Azalea? Yeah, hey. Oh no no no no, you can come, ’cause what you doing is definitely not rap.”
Despite I-G-G-Y being quiet on social media for a while now as she works on her sophomore album (the rapper hasn’t tweeted in a month), her name continues to get brought up in more bad ways than good. Hey, it must mean she is still relevant! Watch the moment go down at the Soul Train Awards below.
