Coldplay’s A Head Full Of Dreams album is just three days away, and the UK rockers premiered one of the more anticipated collaborations on the LP (next to Blue Ivy, of course) on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show — “Hymn For The Weekend” featuring Beyonce.

The incredibly euphoric is Coldplay’s version of a club track (it is inspired by Flo Rida and songs like “Turn Down For What”), and is filled with jangling melodies, steady handclaps, a rush of percussion and Beyonce’s refreshingly toned down, sultry vocals that are more angelic than commanding.

Bassist Guy Berryman revealed this to Annie Mac: “It actually started off being quite a different vibe, this song. Chris was wanting to write a sort of party song. The words were ‘Drinks on me, drinks on me.’ And we said to him, ‘You can’t say that. You can’t get away with that.’ Then the whole story of the song changed and then he asked Beyoncé to sing on it, and she very kindly said she would. And it was amazing. She came in. She did her thing. She’s unbelievably professional. I think she was in and out in five minutes. And we are so blessed to sing on one of our songs.”

A Head Full Of Dreams, which features tracks like “Everglow” and “Adventure Of A Lifetime,” will be released on December 4 via Parlophone/Atlantic.Along with the album, Coldplay have announced the first leg of their 2016 world tour. Get into “Hymn For The Weekend” below.
