The Navy Torpedoed By Rihanna’s Grammy Snub
The 2015 Grammy Award nominations were revealed this morning and there were no real surprises. Kendrick Lamar leads the field with 11 nominations, while award circuit favorites Taylor Swift and The Weeknd nabbed seven each. While there were a few snubs (Omarion is fuming that R&B smash “Post To Be” was overlooked), The Navy is particularly devastated that Rihanna was deemed unworthy in every category.
To be honest, I don’t know what they were expecting. RiRi spent the year trolling the music industry with Anti and underwhelmed with each track she randomly released with no promotion. Stillborn folk anthem “FourFiveSeconds” was probably intended to be Grammy bait, but it came and went with minimal impact. On the other hand, “Bitch Better Have My Money” kept clubs heaving for most of the year. However, it would be curious to reward a track accused of plagiarism. See The Navy’s distressed tweets below.
Grammys are u fucking serious? BBHMM and FFS didn't get a Grammy nom? Rihanna deserved even 2 nods. What kinda snub is this?

I'm devastated. Rihanna deserved those Grammy nominations more than half the artists nominated. Especially FFS.
