Carly Rae Jepsen Is Already Working On Her ‘E•MO•TION’ Follow-Up

Carly Rae Jepsen had one of the best albums of the year. This is objectively correct. Though E•MO•TION hardly impacted commercially, the LP has the unflagging support of music critics and pop obsessives, which will certainly give it life beyond 2015. But none of that matters to Jepsen, because she’s happy with the album, and apparently she has already moved beyond 2015, saying she’s working on new tunes.

And this isn’t like the last time she was heading to the studio for one “special” song (which turned out to be her “Last Christmas” cover). This sounds like the real deal, the E•MO•TION follow-up that we’re all waiting for except we’re not even waiting for it yet because we’re still deep in thrall to E•MO•TION.

“New tunes a brewing,” Jepsen wrote on Instagram along with some new lyrics. Check out her post with the exciting news below.

“Kiss me on the cheek~yes please oh not the lips. Keep it to the corner.” 🎶 New tunes a brewing.
