J Sutta Covers Sophie B. Hawkins’ “Damn (I Wish I Was Your Lover)”: Watch The Sapphic Video
Following up with her “Feline Resurrection,” J Sutta has returned with another dramatic visual, this time for her cover of Sophie B. Hawkins‘ early-’90s pop classic “Damn (I Wish I Was Your Lover)”. The former Pussycat Doll keeps the atmosphere of the song firmly within it’s original lesbian context — something that, lest we forget, was quite bold for a pop radio hit in 1992! — and offers up an arresting video that involves kidnapping, whipped cream and, yes, even a girl-on-girl kiss at the end.
