Celine Dion Covers Adele’s “Hello”: Watch
Celine Dion brought in 2016 while on stage at her Caesars Palace residency in Las Vegas, cracking jokes about 2015’s biggest selling artist and her blockbuster 25 comeback single.
“Uh, so tonight if I may, I would like Adele to be part of our New Year’s Eve,” she said. “Don’t panic, she’s not in the building. Do we need to change the battery in my microphone? I kinda lost it a bit. Adele, hello? Hello?”
Celine then proceeded to cover Adele’s “Hello,” though, as with her introduction, like she wasn’t taking it all too seriously. She flubbed some of the singer’s lyrics and ad-libbed to wish everyone a safe New Year’s Eve. But she also hit every soaring note effortlessly, as only a vocalist like herself could — watch below.
