We’re a little over a week away from the release of Chairlift’s third album, Moth, and you should not sleep on it. It’s one of those albums that feels restless because of all the musical ideas that whir past you during its runtime, like its creators couldn’t wait to unleash each morsel into the world.

The lovely “Crying In Public” was a break from the seemingly boundless pop energy that was already on display on “Romeo” and “Ch-Ching,” but latest LP cut “Moth To The Flame” offers more churning dance-pop. Caroline Polachek‘s ascendant chorus starts things off (Nile Rodgers proved you can’t go wrong opening with the chorus) and it’s a sugar rush of 3D-printed pop for the ensuing three minutes.
