Our take on the loss of pop and rock's one-of-a-kind, unrivaled chameleon.

Television musicals and film remakes have been a never-ending trend lately, but the latest one is surely the most exciting! Adam Lambert has joined the cast of FOX’s upcoming remake of the 1975 classic film, Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The “Another Lonely Night” singer is set to play Eddie “the rock-n-roll loving, ex-delivery boy,” who was first portrayed by Meat Loaf. “I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!” Lambert said about his new role.

Victoria Justice and Disney’s Ryan McCartan will play Janet and Brad, while Kenny Ortega (Dirty Dancing, High School Musical, This Is It) will direct, executive produce and choreograph the special.

There is no set premiere date as of now, but the two-hour remake will arrive this Fall. Before its FOX airing, revisit Rocky Horror‘s “Hot Patootie – Bless My Soul” musical scene below.
