Kanye West Features Kendrick Lamar In “No More Parties In LA”: Listen

Kanye West features Kendrick Lamar in “No More Parties in LA,” released today (January 18).

Over production by Madlib, which utilizes a sample from Ghostface Killah‘s “Mighty Healthy,” the two emcees trade some true Hollywood stories, warning each other of the dangers of a lifestyle apparently filled with glamour and glitz. Kanye also reminisces over how he began his career as a “backpack n—- with some luxury tastebuds,” before he starts wondering how his newfound family — that is, Kim Kardashian and their two kids North and Saint — will fare under the spotlight: “I be worried about my daughter, I be worried ’bout Kim / but Saint is baby ‘Ye, I ain’t worried about him.”

“No More Parties in LA” dropped a few days later than expected because, according to Kim, ‘Ye had to fly to Italy for a fitting of his third Yeezy Season collection. But apparently, he also wasn’t trying to waste more time than necessary: “This is the 1st song ever with Kanye & Kendrick Lamar! He just landed & headed straight to the studio to finish it!!!” Listen to their whirlwind collaboration below.
