Purity Ring‘s 2012 debut Shrines helped shape the current sound of mainstream electro-pop, so of course their follow-up, 2015’s Another Eternity, had the odds stacked against it. But while it may not have the genre-altering impact of its predecessor, album two still shows that the duo rule the gooey-alien-synths-with-feathery-pop-vocals domain. Last night (January 19), the pair confirmed this with a performance of “Repetition” on Conan.

Singer Megan James dressed like a Disney princess cutout while Corin Roddick toiled away on his customized drum machine behind a wall of plants and lasers. The whole enchanted setting was a reminder of why they’ll be one of the most anticipated sets at Bonnaroo this year.
