AlunaGeorge & Popcaan Go Tropical On “I’m In Control”: Listen
AlunaGeorge have dropped “I’m In Control,” the Popcaan-assisted lead single off their forthcoming sophomore album. And it’s bad news for those of you hoping the tropical house trend would die down this year.
Lyrics about crashing waves and starry skies are accompanied by a dancehall beat and noodly synth riffs that aren’t so far off from the sounds Major Lazer and Justin Bieber have been working with recently — looks like that Jack Ü collab last year rubbed off on the British duo. It’s all rounded out with some additional vocals from rising Jamaican star Popcaan.
