Miguel’s “Waves” Gets A Well-Timed Remix Featuring Travi$ Scott
Perhaps to capitalize on all the increased #WAVES action on Twitter in the wake of Kanye West‘s latest album name change, Miguel has premiered a remix of “Waves” featuring Travi$ Scott. The psych-soul churn of the Wildheart standout gets flipped with a trap stutter, and Scott offers up one of his rare straightforward rap verses.
Wildheart always seemed like sort of the male analogue to Carly Rae Jepsen‘s E•MO•TION, another stellar 2015 pop album that got tons of critical love but didn’t infiltrate mass culture the way it deserved to. Maybe that’s why Miguel decided to tap into Scott’s wild fanbase.
