The 88th Annual Academy Awards announced yesterday (January 28) their performance picks for the biggest night in film! Lady Gaga, Sam Smith and The Weeknd are all set to grace the Oscars stage next month.

What makes interesting is that all three artists are up for Best Original Song nominations:  Gaga’s “‘Til It Happens to You”off The Hunting Ground,  The Weeknd’s “Earned It” from Fifty Shades of Grey and Sam Smith’s “Writing’s On The Wall” off Spectre.

Pharrell is also among the names revealed by The Academy along with actors like Benicio Del Toro, Whoopi Goldberg, Ryan Gosling and Kevin Hart, but no word if he will be performing or simply presenting. According to their tweet, this is just the first round of announcements — so more actors (and hopefully more artists) will be revealed.
