Adele Kindly Requests That Donald Trump Stop Playing Her Music At Campaign Events

Adele, nearly universally loved. Donald Trump, nearly universally loathed (“nearly,” because Azealia Banks). So it’s the height of cognitive dissonance to see a Donald Trump rally soundtracked by the dulcet tones of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” or “Skyfall.” But that vexing juxtaposition won’t last much longer, as the 25 superstar is the latest artist to point out Trump is using her music at campaign events without permission.

“Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,” her spokesman told The Independent.

Previously, Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler told Trump to stop using “Dream On” and R.E.M.‘s Michael Stipe said “Go fuck yourselves” to Trump and Ted Cruz after they used “It’s The End Of The World As We Know It” at a rally. There’s always Ted Nugent, though.
