KStewart’s “Be Without You” Video Is A Retro Romp Featuring Producer MNEK: Watch
KStewart switches gears from the house pastiche of previous single “Ain’t Nobody” and goes for a straight-up early ’90s R&B-pop vibe with new song “Be Without You.” We didn’t quite quite pick up on the similarities between Kate’s voice and that of Ariana Grande‘s before, but “Be Without You” producer MNEK amps that factor up here so much so that it’s borderline distracting. In fact, scratch that — it’s damn distracting. Why not let this young talent shine in her own unique way without having to hope on the Grande train?
Oh, well…cute video, though.
