The Chainsmokers & Daya’s “Don’t Let Me Down”: Listen To The Trappy Collaboration

The Chainsmokers and Daya are each currently experiencing chart hits on the Billboard Hot 100 — the former duo’s “Roses” is soaring at #6 currently, while the latter teen diva’s “Hide Away” climbed to #24 this week — and so it makes sense that these three came together to collaborate on what sounds like a catchy cut tailor-made for radio.

“Don’t Let Me Down” kicks off with a haunting guitar loop and 17-year-old Daya lamenting that she’s “hit a wall, right now I need a miracle.” By the time the chorus sweeps in, the song shifts into full-on trap mode.

“So we know we have released a couple tracks since ‘Roses’, of which we all love, but we would consider this as our follow up to ‘Roses’,” say The Chainsmokers on SoundCloud. “We consider this to be our most complete track and just like ‘Roses’ came together in one session for the most part. We wrote this track with the talented Emily Warren who you might recognize from DLMD and with Scott.”

Listen above and see if you think “Don’t Let Me Down” will be the next big smash for each of these acts.
