Yuna Returns With Hip-Hop Flavored “Places To Go”: Listen

Malaysian pop musician Yuna hasn’t released an album since 2013’s underrated gem Nocturnal, and now she’s turning some heads with her new single “Places To Go” thanks to its hip-hop bent. Produced by the legendary DJ Premier, the song’s boom-bap sonics represent a shift from the singer’s breezier pop and R&B musings.

“I wanna know what’s the weather like in New York,” she coos over a scratched, horn-laden beat. The single is off Yuna‘s upcoming LP, Chapters, which is scheduled for a May 20 release. Hear it below.
