Miguel Performs At His Old Middle School, Chaos Ensues: Watch

On February 19, Dana Middle School in Miguel’s native Los Angeles neighborhood San Pedro was hosting its third annual talent show. According t0 local newspaper The Daily Breeze, the R&B singer was to perform two songs, including breakout hit “Adorn,” and congratulate all the talent show participants. However, the students had no idea that he would be there — so once they saw him, they rushed the stage and screamed, and screamed, and screamed, guys and girls included.
Miguel was fresh off performing a Michael Jackson tribute at the 2016 Grammy Awards, then releasing the video for his “Waves” remix featuring Travis $cott. See his Instagram post about his visit, where he reminisces about “the smell of the audiotorium,” below.
