Kesha supporters gathered outside the New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan last week ahead of the ruling on her injunction, and though the court ultimately decided against voiding her contract with Dr. Luke‘s Kemosabe Records and Sony, her fans are not wavering. Just this evening, Adele voiced her support for the embattled singer during her BRIT Awards acceptance speech. With Kesha’s next court appearance for her sexual abuse lawsuit against Dr. Luke scheduled for May, her supporters have decided to take the fight to Sony with another rally.

The next #FreeKesha gathering will take place Friday (February 26) in front of Sony’s New York City Headquarters on Madison Avenue “to demand her release from Kemosabe Records.” And this latest rally is getting some promotional help from online advocacy community Care2.

“The #FreeKesha movement has shaken the pop culture community,” Care2 Online Organizing Strategist Lacey Kohlmoos said in a statement. “Whether or not Kesha’s music affected someone personally, this case represents the unfair treatment of sexual assault survivors around the globe. It is important for Sony to see the uproar they have caused, so protesters are bringing it right to their front door.”

In addition, lead organizer Michael Eisele will “hand deliver emails addressed to Sony Music from the fans who couldn’t make it to the event.” It’s odd that it has taken this long, but it seems like pop culture has finally reached a tipping point regarding this legal battle.
