David Bowie’s Son Liked Lorde’s Bowie Tribute Much Better Than Lady Gaga’s
David Bowie‘s son Duncan Jones wasn’t much of a fan of Lady Gaga‘s tribute to his father at The Grammys earlier this month, describing it as “overexcited or irrational” and “mentally confused.” Last night, Lorde was the surprise guest on hand to perform The Brits’ Bowie tribute, and Jones was much happier with the results.
Accompanied by Bowie’s backing band, Lorde took the opposite approach of Gaga’s theatrical medley, singing only the Hunky Dory classic “Life on Mars?” Jones called it “beautiful” on Twitter shortly after the show.
Finally found the links to tonight's Brits. Just… beautiful. Thank you.

Even though the New Zealand singer had done something similar for the Nirvana Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute, she revealed that she was nervous before taking the stage. See her tweet and revisit the tribute below.
i was so nervous in the wings, and then i whispered to myself "just sing it to david", and nothing else mattered
