Premiere: Stream Alice Olivia’s Debut ‘Wanderlands’ EP
As soon as we encountered Alice Olivia‘s debut single “Lovers” back in November, we knew we’d keep an eye affixed to the UK newcomer, like a benevolent blog version of Sauron. Second single “Wings Like Yours” dropped in January, and it confirmed we made a wise choice.

Those two songs, along with four new ones, appear on Alice Olivia’s debut EP, Wanderlands, which we’re premiering for its release today (March 11). There’s a confidence to the way the material unspools at its own deliberate pace, a result of months spent hunkered down with UK producer Lipso as the pair carved a signature sound out of glacial synth swoops and ghostly vocals. If tropical house has an opposite, the Wanderlands EP is it — chilly, post-molly-pop arrangements that luxuriate in negative space, Olivia’s voice filling in the gaps whether in its silky raw form or screwed down into murky oblivion.
