Fiona Apple Folks Out With Andrew Bird On “Left Handed Kisses”: Watch The Video
Fans of Fiona Apple are likely aware of and elated over the existence of her lovely folk duet “Left Handed Kisses” with Andrew Bird, off the latter’s upcoming LP Are You Serious (out April 1). While this will be Bird’s third album in two years, the notoriously sporadic Apple has only released four albums in two decades, the last of which, The Idler Wheel…, arrived in 2012.
Today brings a video for “Left Handed Kisses,” which features Andrew and Fiona facing off by staring, singing and playing instruments in each other’s faces. It’s a sweet companion visual for a lovely little song — and it’s so nice to witness the rare occurrence of Apple’s blue eyes peering at us once again.
Andrew Bird is scheduled to perform on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this Wednesday, March 16. There’s no word yet on whether or not Fiona will make a surprise cameo.
