Adele & Lil Yachty Are Mashed Up In Tesher’s “Hello Yachty”: Listen
Last week we at Idolator brought your attention to Lil Yachty, the fast-rising Atlanta hip-hop newcomer who will appeal to fans of Travi$ Scott‘s “Antidote” and ILoveMakonnen‘s bedroom recordings. And you sure as hell know who Adele is. How can you not, when her third album 25 spent ten weeks at #1?
But you’ve never heard them as Tesher reimagines them in “Hello Yachty,” which Noisey premiered today (March 14). The producer takes inspiration from Lil Yachty in particular, as he pitches up Adele’s booming pipes from “Hello” to match his Auto-Tuned warble from “Intro (Just Keep Swimming).” The British singer is almost unrecognizable, though mostly because for once, Adele sounds more like she’s singing from a dystopic future than the distant past.
