Considering his persona has been built on a great deal of mystery, it’s hard to imagine Prince auctioning off any memorabilia to the public. However, this is also an artist whose career has been built on doing the unexpected. And so, according to The Guardian, several of Prince’s possessions will be auctioned online Thursday (March 17).

Among several of the items being auctioned include a handwritten proposal to his first wife, Mayte Garcia, her diamond engagement ring and several pieces of fine china etched with the singer’s “love symbol.” But that’s not all. Courtesy of Prince’s former manger Owen Housley, some unreleased recordings from his pre-Purple Rain days will be up for bidding.

The auction will be hosted by Nate D. Sanders in L.A. However, those hoping for a bargain should put away your wallets, as starting bids range from $1,000 to $100,000.
