Pop Perspective: "Dangerous Woman"
The title track of Ariana Grande's upcoming third album gets rated and reviewed by Idolator editors.

Ariana Grande stepped outside her comfort zone for Dangerous Woman‘s title track. For those who don’t mind what she did before, however, Ariana released the studio version of “Be Alright,” which was premiered last weekend on Saturday Night Live. She reunited with longtime collaborators like producer Tommy Brown and songwriter Victoria Monet for this carefree track about being optimistic. It’s indebted to both ’90s house and R&B.

Ariana recorded about half of Dangerous Woman with pop super-producers Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, and the other half with Tommy and Victoria. “The album is definitely the next step for me,” she said to Ryan Seacrest. “It still sounds like me, but it feels more like a mature, evolved version. There’s a nice blend of R&B vibes, and there is a nice blend of pop vibes. And the whole body of work is a little darker and sexier and more mature.”
