The day new Pet Shop Boys music is released is never a bad one, and underlining that point is the fact that today (March 18) sees not one, but two EPs arriving in the usual places for the pair’s latest single, “The Pop Kids.” Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe stick to their own grand tradition of including two top notch b-sides — “One-Hit Wonder” and “In Bits” — with the single EP (the second EP is remixes), but also included is an extended version of “The Pop Kids” called “The Full Story.”

If you’ve been enthralled with the two pop music-loving early ’90s London university students who are front and center in the song’s lyrics since it premiered in February, you ought to give a listen to “The Full Story” to find out, well, just what exactly ended up happening to these two later in life — and to hear that litte extra housey breakdown.

Pet Shop Boys’ 13th studio album Super will be released on April 1.
