Iggy Azalea has been going hard (and nude!) on the promo trail for new song “Team,” and after yesterday’s slight bump from the Good Morning America schedule, she finally appeared on the show today to discuss her critics…and preview her latest single’s music video.

“It’s tough sometimes, but you gotta think about the people that support you, as well,” Iggy said, reflecting a very Zen-like attitude, while discussing her detractors. “I grew up loving Missy Elliott, loving Lil Kim or Trina, and so I’m lucky that I have those women that I really idolized support me. So I get a get a little bit of comfort in that, in knowing the people I look up to kind of appreciate what I’m doing.”

The blonde MC’s positive outlook carried throughout the conversation, as a few clips from the forthcoming “Team” video played in the background.

“Rapper or actress, no matter what you do, if you’re in the public eye you get criticized and picked apart,” she said. “For me, [rapping with an American accent is] the thing that people like to pick out with me, and I have to deal with it.”

Iggy also noted that she “might wait a couple days to put out” the actual music video for “Team,” because, she says, “people are loving my dance video [for the song] so much.”
