In Defense Of Heidi Montag's 'Superficial'
Heidi Montag's 2010 album 'Superficial' is a misunderstood pop masterpiece.

I can’t really pinpoint why Courtney Stodden is famous. I know she was (and possibly still is) married to a much-older dude and I’m pretty sure she was on a reality show at one point. That usually doesn’t warrant lasting celebrity, but the 21-year-old is still gossip column fodder. While the starlet’s main source of income remains a mystery to me, I’m more familiar with her side-gig as an underground pop diva.

Courtney first tried her hand at pop way back in 2010 with quirky singles “Car Candy” and “Don’t Put It On Me.” Unlike the vast majority of reality stars looking to diversify, she opted for a rock sound as opposed to the usual electro-pop. And the result wasn’t actually that bad. In fact, I’d go as far as calling the former something of a cult classic. The same can’t be said of terrible 2012 anthem “Reality,” but I have high hopes for her latest foray into music.

The entertainer (?) announced new single “Asphalt” yesterday (April 5) with an eye-popping nude pic on Twitter. It arrives on April 15 and is already available to pre-order. The pop girls have been put on notice!
