Flume Teases Sophomore LP ‘Skin’ With Free Download “Wall Fuck”
Flume has a massive crossover hit on his hands with electro-earworm “Never Be Like You.” Featuring the vocals of Canadian singer/songwriter Kai, the insidiously catchy track reached number one in the producer’s native Australia and is well on its way to inflicting similar chart carnage stateside. It’s already top 100 on iTunes and recently broke into the top 40 on pop radio. Don’t be surprised to see the song climb a lot higher as the festival season unfolds.
The 24-year-old continues the promo for sophomore LP Skin (due May 27) with a free download called “Wall Fuck.” If “Never Be Like You” reflects the electro-wizz’s pop sensibility, this mercurial instrumental finds him adrift in more experimental waters with its dark and delirious synth-soundscape.
