Will.i.am And Pia Mia’s “Boys & Girls” Video: Watch The Colorful Dance Party
In this post-“Hotline Bling” world, everyone’s up for a multi-colored dance fest featuring exaggerated moves, and will.i.am and Pia Mia are no exceptions. The Black Eyed Peas mastermind and 19-year-old songbird have teamed up for “Boys & Girls,” a slinky, synthy little dance number that arrives today, complete with a video packed with enough online stars (like India Love, Arianny Celeste, Jack Baran and Stephanie Villa) that this thing’s just got to go viral, right? Right?
Lyrically, Will gives a wink-wink hat tip to Blur‘s 1994 hit “Girls & Boys” here, down to the gender-bent lyrics on the chorus that Pia sings: “The girls wanna play with boys and the boys wanna play with girls / And the girls wanna play with girls, boys wanna play with boys / Oh, boy, don’t you love this world?”
Now ain’t that just naughty? Time will tell if this becomes the next “Scream & Shout.” But so far all the right boxes seem to be ticked.
