Janet Jackson Will Resume Touring In 2017
Janet Jackson announced last week that she is delaying her world tour. She is “planning” her family with billionaire Wissam Al Mana, whom she married in 2012. Turns out, she won’t be away for long. She has only postponed her North America tour dates until 2017.
“New dates will be announced at a later time, and tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates,” a Live Nation rep tells Us Weekly. This update also corrects what an earlier email from Ticketmaster said. Last week, Ticketmaster told concertgoers that refunds aren’t available because this delay is a postponement, not a cancellation. But Live Nation assures now that refunds are available at point of purchase.
“Please if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now,” Janet said in an announcement video. “I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue to tour as soon as I possibly can.”
