Missy Elliott Hit The Studio With Bruno Mars: Is A Collab On The Way?
While there’s still no release date for Missy Elliott’s long-overdue 7th LP, there has been an undeniable burst of momentum since her show-stopping cameo during Katy Perry’s Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show. The forever-cool rapper returned to the Billboard Hot 100 with “WTF (Where They From)” and backed it up with solid buzz track “Pep Rally.” She’s also been active on the features front, lending verses to A$AP Ferg’s “Strive” and Janet Jackson’s “Burnitup!”
The latest sign that Missy’s comeback is actually going to happen this time? She spent a little time in the studio with Bruno Mars. “Had a blast vibing wit my fam @BrunoMars @ the studio!” The 44-year-old tweeted this afternoon (April 19). GoodVibes He got some [fire]! He such a rare gem!” While it’s unclear if the hang was work-related, the idea of a Missy/Bruno collab is enough to make the average music lover’s mouth water. Check out her tweet below.
