Pink Is The First Performer Announced For The 2016 Billboard Music Awards

Pink is officially back in the swing of things after releasing new single “Just Like Fire” last week. The pop diva is now the first performer announced for this year’s Billboard Music Awards, where she’s scheduled to sing her Alice Through The Looking Glass soundtrack cut during the May 22 telecast.

It’s been nearly four years since Pink released her last studio album, 2012’s The Truth About Love. That set contained the chart-topping Nate Ruess duet “Just Give Me A Reason,” as well as two other Top 10 hits — “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” and “Try.”

Since then Pink has taken part in a few side projects, including releasing a joint album with folk artist Dallas Green billed as You+Me, plus recording “Today’s The Day” as a new theme song for The Ellen DeGeneres Show‘s 2015-2016 season.

The Billboard Music Awards are set to take place at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on Sunday, May 22 at 8 p.m. ET, and will broadcast live on ABC. the show will also air live on the West Coast, starting at 5 p.m. PT.
