MØ’s “Final Song” Sounds Like Another Winner: Listen To A Snippet

After the massive worldwide success of Major Lazer collaboration “Lean On” (it’s the most-streamed song of all time according to Spotify), wisely decided to capitalize on the momentum by dropping the first track from her sophomore LP. Unfortunately, despite being one of the year’s catchiest tunes, “Kamikaze” got lost in the tidal wave of tropical house bangers that assaulted pop radio in the wake of Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry.”

The Danish diva has regrouped and returns on Thursday (May 13) with the ominously-titled “Final Song.” MØ shared a snippet of the track on Instagram today and it sounds like another tropical house-tinged gem — at least from the snippet. “Please, won’t you wait, won’t you stay at least until the sun goes down,” she pleads over sun-dappled synths. This could be the solo hit the “Don’t Wanna Dance” singer has been working towards. Listen below.
