John Carpenter is taking the music of his successful, spooky indie releases Lost Themes and Lost Themes II on the road very soon. He’ll also be performing some of his scores to his frightful horror movie classics while on tour.

To celebrate the uptick in the musical side of Carpenter’s career, he and his bandmates (aka son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies) have recorded new versions of the synthed-out Halloween and Escape From New York themes, which will get a special double A-sided 12″ release together on picture disc vinyl on June 17, via Sacred Bones. The Assault On Precinct 13 and The Fog themes will get the same vinyl treatment, and will be out on the same date. (Sleeves for all pictured above.)
