The specifics about Lady Gaga‘s forthcoming pop album are still up in the air, but Mark Ronson gave a few new insights during a chat with Charlie Rose for Bloomberg. The producer was asked about his and Gaga’s performance at a Met Gala after-party last week, which led to Ronson discussing his work on the “Bad Romance” diva’s pop follow-up to 2013’s Artpop.

“She’s a muso at heart. She’s the happiest when she’s sitting at a piano, barking orders at a drummer,” Ronson explained. “That side of her, I don’t think a lot of the world has seen. They’ve seen, you know, obviously the massive pop singles and tours and dance numbers and stuff.”

Those quotes mirror what Ronson said earlier this year during a Beats 1 interview. But he then added, “It’s really great to make this very honest, authentic, kind of analog record with her.”

Interesting, regarding the analog bit. Perhaps we’re in for more “Brown Eyes” Gaga this time around than, say, “G.U.Y.” Gaga. Others the pop singer has been in the studio with over the past year include Nile Rodgers and RedOne, the producer of such Lady Gaga classics as “Just Dance” and “Poker Face.”

As for the rest of Ronson’s chat, he also discussed his past work with such pop luminaries as Amy Winehouse, Adele and Bruno Mars, all of which you can watch in the clip above.
