UPDATED: Sinead O’Connor Goes Missing After Bike Ride In Chicago Suburb, Found By Police
Another drama seems to be brewing around Sinead O’Connor, who last fall posted an apparent suicide note on Facebook. The 49-year-old Irish singer has gone missing in Chicago following a bike ride on Sunday (May 15) in the suburb of Wilmette. Police confirmed the news to People. A report by TMZ has the bike ride timed around 1 p.m., and the site goes on to add that police have her classified as “missing suicidal.” People states O’Connor was last seen at 6 a.m. on Sunday.
UPDATE: Wilmette Police told the BBC that O’Connor has been located, after earlier saying they were “seeking to check the well-being” of the 49-year-old.
The singer has had tense relationships with her family members over the years. On Friday, she posted the below on Facebook to her 12-year-old son Shane. Note that Tusla is the Irish child services organization.
Yesterday, at 9:12 a.m., she posted the following note to her other son Jake Reynolds, 28, on Facebook.
O’Connor recently made headlines for alleging that onetime talk show host Arsenio Hall was a drug dealer for Prince, who died on April 21. Hall is now suing O’Connor for libel to the tune of $5 million.
O’Connor topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1990 with her cover of the Prince-penned ballad “Nothing Compares 2 U.”
