Comprised of producer Dwight Baker and singer/songwriter Patricia Lynn, The Wind And The Wave generated serious buzz with 2014 debut LP From The Wreckage, landing syncs on a plethora of TV shows and reaching number 1 on Shazam’s USA Future Hits chart with a cover of Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars.” Despite that success, the duo parted ways with RCA Records last year. However, it didn’t take long for them to find a new home at Island.

The Austin, Texas-based pair returned last week with the lead single from their Butch Walker-produced sophomore LP, Happiness Is Not A Place. Arguably The Wind And The Wave’s most accessible track to date, “Grand Canyon” is rollicking country/rock/pop hybrid with a massive sing-along chorus. “My heart burns yeah I’m tired of the same old stuff, running like a river from God knows what,” Patty sings. “Don’t die, you’re just a baby yeah you’re way too young, you haven’t lived until you’ve gone to the Grand Canyon.” Listen to the future hit below.
