Kanye West’s Webby Awards Speech Was The Truest Thing He’s Ever Said
Kanye West received his Artist of the Year award at the Webbys last night (May 16), which was an absolutely deserved honor. And while the rapper wasn’t in attendance for the NYC ceremony, he did accept it by video with the Webby standard five word speech.
West has said some wild stuff with some dubious connections to reality in recent months (“album of the life,” “SWISH,” etc.), but this was one of the few things he’s said that we know to be true: “I can’t stand short speeches.”
